Dirt Tracks & Fat Bikes- Devon, AB

So finally after talking about for months, we made the short drive from our house to Devon to take a ride and find the dirt trails, and skills track.

This is a MUST do!! We had a fantastic morning, we arrived shortly after 9 am and had the trails to ourselves until almost 11 am! YES, you read that right we had 2 hours with NO ONE else, this gave us a great opportunity to familiarize our selves with our Fat Tire bikes, on a new track and new terrain. A few safety housekeeping ideas to keep front of mind:

1) know your skill limit and ride with in it

2) track surface can change depending on the weather, when we were there today - it was dry and hot (be cautious on wet tracks)

3) wear your protective gear - be SAFE!!

4) walk the track first to check it out - be cautious, until you are familiar with the course

I know this is not racing, but practicing and trying new courses like this will only help you build the strength and endurance that helps make you a better and faster racer!
