There are multiple board member positions, director at large and Officers of the Club.
Here’s what you can expect when you become a BMX Club Board Member.
BMX Board Member Positions

President
The President shall preside at all meetings of the club and of the executive Committee and shall have general supervision over the affairs of the Club. The President shall be responsible for all the major fundraising endeavours and shall with the Secretary sign all by-laws. The President is ex-officio of all Committees of the Club.

Treasurer
Treasurer of the club shall be the custodian of all monies of the Club and shall keep a full and accurate accounts of all receipts and disbursements of the club. They shall cause to be deposited with a chartered bank to the credit of the club all monies received. They shall disburse the funds under the directions of the Executive Committee, whenever required of him, an account of all transactions as Treasurer and of the financial position of the club. He shall also chair one of the inhouse committees. The book and records shall be open to inspection by any member.

Head Track Official
The Head Track Official shall be responsible for the timetable of events, organization of all race officials, and equipment uses. They shall be the deciding factor in all disputes that occur on the track except the finish line. They shall also chair one of the in house committees.
Assistant Head Track Official
To assist the Head Track Official as required.

Secretary
The secretary of the Club shall be the custodian of the minute book of the club and shall attend all sessions of the Executive Committee and Club General Meeting and ensure that all facts and minutes of all proceedings are recorded in the book kept for that purpose.
The Secretary shall give, or cause to begiven all notices of meetings of the club or of the Executive Committee when directed or as authorized by this by-law to do so. They shall be custodian of the seal of the Club, if any, and of the books, papers, records, contracts, correspondence, and other documents belonging to the club, which they shall deliver only when authorized by resolutions of the executive committee or by the president to such persons as they or he shall direct.
The Secretary shall keep a correct list of members of the Club, address, and phone numbers. The books and records shall be kept in the principal resident of the secretary and shall be open for inspection to any member. The Secretary shall perform other such duties as the terms of engagement call for or that the Executive Committee may from time to time as required. He shall also chair one of the in-house committees.

Track Operator

The Track Operator shall oversee membership registration and is the club liaison to the BMX sanctioning body and Alberta BMX. They set up the mottos within the guidelines of the Track Operators Manual. They submit all moto sheets and points tabulations. They compile all race/points statistics and schedules all race events with the direction of the Executive Committee. They shall also chair one of the inhouse committees.
Assistant Track Operator
The assistant track operator shall assist the Track Operator wit duties listed above. In the absence of the Track Operator at any event, the Assistant Track Operator will defacto become the Track Operator for that particular event.

Officers of the Club
Officers of the club shall be those members appointed as such by the Executive Committee/Chairman of the in-house committees. They shall be entitled to attend all Executive Committee meetings but shall not be entitled to vote. The title, number and responsibilities of Club Officers may vary/change from time to time; however generally speaking the following officers will be required and will report the identified Committee member.
- Track Maintenance/ Personnel
- Concession Operator
- Special Events Coordinator
- Public Relations/ Promotion
- Awards Coordinator
- Rider Representative (will be liaise with/through the Director(s) – at – Large.)
Qualifications:
The qualifications of an Officer shall coincide with the qualifications of a member in good standing with the club. An officer shall cease to be an officer when they cease to be a member of the club. One person may hold more than one office.
